Tyler Heppell started the event in 2022 with 12 people coming out to his family’s South Surrey farm to pick up free “ugly” produce that would otherwise be thrown away.

From there, it has grown to over 30,000 people attending this year’s world-record-setting event at Cloverdale’s Agriplex in Surrey.
